Ahh, look at all the lonely people . .

Great news!

Not only have I finally figured out the return key issue, it now looks like my posts are starting to make it out there! Glorious! Now, if I can only figure out how to post pictures from places other than my camera, we can be all set!

Other good news, my recent Overstock.com order arrived with all 7 of my ordered CDs - GREAT! Got a Paul, a Ringo, 4 Beatles and the soundtrack from the Gilmore Girls. Lovely! Sarah was impressed that I actually bought some music from outside the Beatle world. It had been a while since my spree on Green Day CDs.

Gas prices continue to soar around here. I bought a tankfull on Tuesday am for $2.73 a gallon - a bargin. This morning, signs were around at nearly $3 or just over $3 a gallon. Some places in Chicago are charging in the neighborhood of $3.50 - yikes!

Finally, you must all say a prayer, give a donation or do a good deed for the folks down in the southern Gulf states. Horrible situation it is. The physical demands are extraordinary, the communication non-existent. Sad, very sad indeed!

All the best - Annette

Sunday's on the phone to Monday . . .

Greetings:

The latest computer glitch, for some reason, is that my whole blog is not being shown if people go to the site! Drat! My last four listings have not appeared unless I re-enter the system and view the blog - what is with that??

A crazy upside down kinda day. Spent a good deal of time on the phone discussing a really interesting deal. I hate trying to make decisions and I hate trying to make decisions that pertain to money and the thought of me spending money. What ta do???

On the flip side, my latest collection of CD's is being sent to me and I should have them in a few days. Cannot wait!

Hope all is well with the world! Tuesdays on the phone to . . .

I Heard the News today . . .

Greetings again! It is Sunday and was up half the night to make sure that I video taped ALL the Soundstage program featuring RINGO and MARK! (This is the picture we took on Saturday at The Fest for Beatles Fans) An hour long concert taped this past summer in Waukegan. I tried and tried to get tix for it but failed. Maybe that is a good thing because I already have my PAUL tix and if I got to see him and Ringo in one year, well, that could only mean the begining of the end of life as we know it!

Anyway, in this picture is Mark Hudson with me, a wonderful Fest helper to Mark's left and a scary security lady on the right of me. No one would mess with her around! A good friend of mine was also there on security duty but he "manned" a door. I will tell you more about his encounter with the crabby Chicago Ex-radio legend, Garry Meier some other time!

Okay, it looks like if I tap the tab key and the return key, I can get the silly thing to start a new paragraph.

Who knows why it works that way?

Other Beatle-y news . . I found a website that features a 24/7 Beatles Radio broadcast, (www.beatlesradio.com)but couldn't get the silly thing to work on my computer. Guess I am stuck with the AOL radio "Beatles Tribute" station until I can get the Raspody radio system working.

On an unrelated Beatle note - Ryne Sandburg has his number retired today at Wrigley field - I missed the whole thing! Got home late from church, making lunch but was happily listening to Miss Anna play some new piano music - Josh Groban's "You lift me up". She might play it at the Talent show this year. Okay, so there will be weeping in the seats, hand me a tissue!

Nothing's gonna change my world . . .

Here I am with Mark Hudson (Ringo's producer and former Hudson Brother) at the Fest for Beatles Fans in Chicago (2005). He still smells great! I have a great story to share . . Mark was telling us at his talk that Ringo WANTS to come to one of the Fest sometime as he thinks it is cool too! Mark also mentioned that Ringo desperately wants to go to the Marketplace at the Fest as he doesn't have much of Beatle stuff! So since I still have 10 Beatle Harmonica cases from 1964 in my personal stash, I brought one to Mark on Sunday for him to deliver to Ringo in October. Mark said he would do that and I believe him! Stay tuned to see if it happens!

Across the Universe!

Greetings again! I am still working on this thing tho it has been a while. I very much enjoyed THE FEST FOR BEATLES FANS in Chicago again this year. I think this is my third or fourth year in a row and I cannot remember how many in total I have attended since 1979 or so. WOW! I will have to check my archives on that one! But it was a great, great weekend. Found out more cool things that I didn't know, saw more video that I have never seen before, and met some really interesting people! Mark Hudson STILL smells great! More about that later!

Hey! I got the return key to work!

Again! I got it to work! So sad is my life that the return key makes news.

However, I am interested in know of other Beatlefest-type events that are going on out there. If you have any cool links to share with the class, please do so.

Now, I have to resume my routines, so that they are.
